1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

Welcome to SiratSync. By downloading, accessing, browsing, or creating an account within the SiratSync mobile application (the “App”) or accessing https://siratsync.in (the “Website”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our companion Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.

Age Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age required in your country of residence to use online services) to create an account or post content in the Community. If you are between 13 and the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Permitted Use & Fair Usage License

Subject to your ongoing compliance with these Terms, SiratSync grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, personal license to download, install, and use the App on compatible Android devices for your personal, non-commercial spiritual and educational benefit.

You agree to use the App responsibly and in good faith. You agree that you will not:

• Decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, decode, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the App, its APIs, or backend services.
• Circumvent, disable, breach, or tamper with any security-related features, authentication tokens, rate limiters, or Firestore security rules.
• Introduce viruses, worms, Trojan horses, automated bots, or malicious scripts into the App or through community endpoints.
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-export user information, community posts, or curated datasets for unauthorized commercial resale or syndication.
• Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the integrity or performance of our servers, networks, or cloud infrastructure.
• Use the App or its features for any purpose that violates local, national, or international laws or regulations.

3. User Accounts & Account Security

You may access basic features offline without an account, or create an account via Google Sign-In or Email registration to sync your streaks, reading bookmarks, and participate in the Community.

• Authentic Details: You agree to provide accurate and authentic account information and to keep your credentials current.
• Confidentiality: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• Prompt Notification: If you suspect unauthorized access or a security breach involving your account, you must immediately notify our support team at Siratsync@gmail.com.
• Account Suspension: We reserve the right to suspend or permanently deactivate accounts that violate these Terms, impersonate others, or distribute malicious or abusive material.

4. Fair Use & AI Assistant Rate Limits

To ensure equitable service quality, high responsiveness, and uptime for the entire global Ummah, the Sirat AI Assistant enforces technical fair-usage limits:

• The AI Assistant is currently rate-limited to a maximum of 60 requests per minute per user account or device.
• Automated query generation, bot traffic, prompt-injection attacks, or rapid repetitive requests will trigger automated throttling or temporary cooldown periods.
• Continued or intentional abuse of API endpoints may result in permanent restriction of AI features or account termination.

5. Sirat AI Assistant Terms & Religious Disclaimer

The Sirat AI Assistant is an interactive conversational feature powered by Groq’s high-speed inference of the open-weights LLaMA model, hosted on our dedicated backend API on Render.

By using the Sirat AI Assistant, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:

• AI language models may occasionally generate inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-context statements regarding religious matters or historical narrations.
• You must always cross-reference and verify important religious questions, legal rulings (ahkam), marital matters, financial ethics, and dietary laws with qualified, certified Islamic scholars and recognized classical sources.
• Conversation context is temporarily cached in Redis (Upstash) to enable natural multi-turn dialogue, and chat logs are stored in Firebase Firestore to maintain your personal conversation history.
• We reserve the right to moderate, filter, or restrict conversations that attempt to solicit harmful, blasphemous, illegal, or sexually explicit content.

6. Community Rules, Content Ownership & License Grant

The Community section enables registered users to share reflections, ask respectful questions, and encourage one another in good deeds.

• Content Ownership: You retain full copyright ownership of the original text, reflections, and thoughts you compose and post in the Community.
• License to SiratSync: By submitting or posting content in the SiratSync Community, you grant SiratSync a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable license to display, index, reproduce, distribute, format, and store your contributions within the App and related digital channels for the purpose of operating, maintaining, and improving the service.
• Community Standards: All community posts must strictly observe our Community Guidelines. You are strictly prohibited from posting hate speech, sectarian attacks, explicit or dating content, political propaganda, commercial spam, fabricated scriptures, harassment, or doxxing of other individuals.

7. Content Moderation & Account Termination

To preserve a wholesome, spiritually focused digital sanctuary:

• Proactive & Reactive Moderation: SiratSync reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to monitor, review, hide, or permanently remove any user content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without prior notification.
• Account Suspension & Termination for Cause: We reserve the right to immediately suspend or permanently terminate your account and restrict your device from accessing the App if you engage in hate speech, harassment, fake scripture distribution, repeated spamming, or severe policy violations.
• User-Initiated Account Deletion: You have the absolute right to terminate your account and delete all associated data at any time. You can perform this directly within the App via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. For a full walkthrough, refer to our Account Deletion Guide.
• Effect of Termination: Upon account termination, your right to use account-based features ceases immediately, and personal records stored in the cloud are purged in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property & Dataset Attribution

SiratSync Property: The SiratSync application software, visual layouts, typography, logos, brand elements, custom code, icons, and graphical user interfaces are the proprietary intellectual property of developer Kaiser Mohiuddin and are protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws.

Sacred Texts & Open Datasets: Classical Islamic religious texts (the Quranic revelation, authentic Hadith narrations, and traditional supplications) belong to the global Ummah, the public domain, and their respective compilers. SiratSync utilizes curated open datasets (including Tanzil.net CC BY 3.0 Quran translations, Ahmed Abdelbaset’s Hadith-JSON, and classical Dua collections) strictly for educational and devotional purposes. Third-Party Technologies: Groq, LLaMA, Firebase, Render, and Upstash trademarks and technologies remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties (“As-Is”)

SiratSync is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular religious or secular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

• Prayer Calculations & Compass Sensors: While we employ verified mathematical formulas (such as Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, and Egyptian General Authority conventions) and device magnetometer readings for Qibla calculation, real-world accuracy depends on hardware sensors, magnetic interference, and regional convention variations. Users are encouraged to verify prayer schedules against local mosque timings.
• Service Availability: We do not warrant that the App, backend APIs, or community features will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or free from server outages.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SiratSync, its developer (Kaiser Mohiuddin), affiliates, or service providers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages whatsoever arising out of or related to:

• Your use of or inability to use the App, its features, or the Sirat AI Assistant.
• Any discrepancies in prayer times, missed prayers, or compass calibration issues caused by hardware or geographical limitations.
• Any errors, mistakes, or omissions in AI responses, user-generated community posts, or third-party datasets.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or account data.
• Service interruptions, network outages, or third-party hosting downtimes (including Google Firebase, Render, Groq, or Upstash).
• Any conduct or content of any third party or community member inside the App.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service and any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or related to them or your use of the App shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates and maintains the SiratSync application, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts located within that jurisdiction.

12. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable by an arbitrator or court of competent jurisdiction, that specific provision shall be deemed severable and modified to the minimum extent necessary, and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining provisions. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and SiratSync regarding your use of the App.

13. Changes to these Terms

We reserve the right to revise or modify these Terms at any time as our features, user base, or legal frameworks evolve. When revisions occur, we will update the “Last updated” timestamp at the top of this document. Your continued access or use of SiratSync following the posting of revised Terms confirms your acceptance of the updated terms.
